My anxiety seems to be increasing with each Radiation treatment. Now I have to close my eyes and count so I don't get all panic-y
We had a meeting with Dr. Naughton -- you could tell he was ready for me to make a final decision -- he was polite but firm-- anything 5% risk reduction and above they recommend chemo. So although only a 6.3% reduction would be gained ... Still recommended. He agrees everything about this sucks... But he reminds me it's his job to get me through this and give me the best chance at cancer free life. Only a 1 in 1000 chance this treatment will give me leukemia or other cancers. Not likely to give me the heart problems I read about. But explained that it will be a year from last day of treatment before I feel back to normal. 3 months for the main symptoms to subside but energy levels will still be compromised at six months.
He says my final decision needs to be made by Sept 20.
Got to work this evening since I managed to sleep instead this afternoon (missed my nap this morning). The "kids" went to play in the gym. We picniced at the hotel for dinner; groceries bought at straubs deli and grocery...
