I still think St. Louis is one of the most underestimated cities in the US. Used to love going there -- lots of great people. Still some good bookstores. A little too humid in the summer, but other than that... Good sports, decent airport (used to be better back when TWA still existed)good music, good food, excellent beer -- what's not to like? Pretty cheap too, for a dedcent sized city -- at least it used to be.
